Job Overview:

We are in search of a proficient and knowledgeable Azure Cloud Engineer to oversee, monitor, and support our Azure cloud ecosystem. The successful candidate will have a robust foundation in cloud technologies, particularly Azure, and will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and peak performance of our cloud operating environment. This role is crucial in managing and sustaining the organization's cloud infrastructure on the Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
  • Establish and oversee virtual machines, monitor cloud environment performance, and manage virtual storage volumes and networking resources to support cloud-based applications.
  • Collaborate with systems administrators, developers, stakeholders, and leadership to achieve consensus on cloud infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop tools, scripts, or templates to automate cloud security controls, governance, compliance validations, and operational processes.
  • Maintain Azure infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Implement and manage Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for infrastructure as code (IaaC) deployments.
  • Manage Azure security solutions, ensuring adherence to security best practices and compliance with industry standards.
  • Document configurations, processes, and procedures while providing regular reports on the status and performance of the Azure environment.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Azure Cloud Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and Azure infrastructure.
  • Proficient in Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desirable.
