Occam Solutions is seeking two qualified AWS Cloud Engineers with a Secret Clearance. The ideal candidates will possess the following expertise:

  • AWS Cloud Engineering
  • AWS Networking Proficiency
  • Experience in federating access across various applications (including Active Directory and Access Management for platforms like Splunk and AWS)
Position Summary:

The AWS Cloud Engineer will be instrumental in designing, deploying, and managing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) cloud environments utilizing AWS technologies. This role entails migrating on-premise systems to the cloud, automating cloud processes, and enhancing cloud infrastructure for optimal efficiency and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Architecture: Create and implement cloud architecture solutions leveraging AWS services.
  • Migration: Strategize and execute the transition of on-premise systems to the AWS cloud.
  • Automation: Streamline cloud-based processes to enhance efficiency and minimize manual tasks.
  • Optimization: Continuously assess and refine cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-effectiveness, and security.
  • Collaboration: Partner with DevOps and engineering teams to develop service catalogs and maintain architectural templates.
  • Security: Ensure that cloud environments are secure and adhere to industry standards and best practices, collaborating closely with Infrastructure teams.
  • Support: Offer technical support and insights to other teams and stakeholders regarding cloud solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in cloud computing, particularly with AWS. Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud is advantageous.
Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture.
  • Experience in cloud deployment.
  • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Requirements:

1. Must possess a Secret Clearance. (Current CAC holders are preferred.)
