Control Systems Engineer

ORBIS Inc. is in search of a skilled Control Systems Engineer with expertise in testing, control, and software systems engineering.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Lab Director and Project Manager to design and implement electrical interfaces and software solutions tailored to meet client specifications.


Key Responsibilities:


• Lead or participate in a multidisciplinary design team, guiding projects from initial concept through to completion while executing essential functions to design and specify electrical and electronic systems.


• Gather specifications and details regarding equipment and components utilized in electrical systems, ensuring accurate representation in design drawings and specifications, including conducting field data collection to ascertain system requirements.


• Execute control system programming and configuration, demonstrating a thorough understanding of specific configuration segments within the overall system.


• Develop system software programming and configuration, which includes operator interfaces.


• Attend review meetings and system testing events to ensure project alignment with client expectations.


• Adhere to relevant standards and organizational protocols.


Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.


Skills:


• Proficiency in LabVIEW (certification preferred), AutoCAD LT (2D), and experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix or similar PLC systems is desirable.


Experience:


• 2 to 3 years of experience in automated testing, data acquisition, and control systems.


• Candidates must exhibit strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal abilities, and problem-solving capabilities.


• Willingness to travel occasionally to support design review meetings, system installations, and testing events is required.


• Must be a US Citizen with a Secret Security Clearance.
