Job OverviewPosition: Senior Social Services Coordinator

Role Summary:

The Senior Social Services Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Lead Licensed Clinical Social Worker to deliver comprehensive support, guidance, and resource connection for participants in the Bonton Farms Seedtime & Harvest Apprenticeship Program. This role is pivotal in assisting individuals on their path to achieving the Seven (7) Human Essentials.

Transportation,
Economic Stability,
Access to Financial Tools,
Community Engagement,
Health & Wellness,
Education,
Safe and Affordable Housing (T.E.A.C.H.E.S.).


Key Responsibilities:

The following responsibilities are illustrative of the types of tasks that may be performed. The absence of specific duties does not exclude them from the role if the work is similar or related:

  • Collaborate with the Apprenticeship and People Development Program teams to identify and secure necessary services and community resources for participants.
  • Engage in community outreach by attending events to promote the Apprenticeship Program.
  • Establish and maintain communication with potential participants throughout the inquiry, interview, hiring, and onboarding processes.
  • Conduct intake interviews and psychosocial evaluations for individuals interested in the program.
  • Facilitate and document weekly one-on-one sessions with each participant to assess progress towards their personal and program-related goals.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of program metrics, outcome reports, and participant files.
  • Lead weekly classes based on the T.E.A.C.H.E.S. curriculum for participants.
  • Identify participants' strengths and challenges that may hinder their stability, and assist them in implementing strategies and accessing resources to overcome barriers.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to review participant progress and status within the program.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for participants and community members as necessary.
  • Utilize a Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) approach to assist participants effectively.
  • Maintain open and consistent communication channels with participants and Bonton Farms staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead LCSW and Chief Wellness Officer.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working with adult client populations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including listening, speaking, mediation, and writing.
  • Ability to deliver clear presentations to staff and participants.
  • Capacity to empower participants while intervening appropriately to meet service objectives.
  • Familiarity with community resources in the DFW area and the ability to assist participants in navigating these resources.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in the absence of established procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a demanding workload.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and an adaptive mindset.
  • Commitment to empowering individuals to resolve their own challenges.
  • Belief in the potential for personal growth and change.
  • Ability to set and maintain appropriate professional boundaries with participants.
  • Demonstrated initiative in achieving individual, team, and organizational goals.
  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Reliable transportation for visits to participants' work and home environments as needed.
  • Awareness of cultural and socioeconomic factors affecting the population served.
