Overview

In this role, you will engage in essential social services tasks, which include gathering information, assessing client needs, and formulating and executing service plans tailored to identified requirements. You will provide counseling, facilitate communication among clients, their families, and various service providers, addressing medical, social, financial, educational, and housing needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct client interviews to collect pertinent information and perform comprehensive needs assessments.
  • Develop and implement service or case plans, ensuring alignment with client needs.
  • Act as a liaison among clients, families, law enforcement, judicial systems, and community organizations to coordinate services and develop effective prevention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of case records in accordance with established regulations and policies.
  • Provide individual, family, or group counseling, utilizing community resources for follow-up and monitoring compliance of service providers.
  • Assist in various operational duties, including administering medications, transporting clients, and managing intake assessments.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and share relevant information.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as legal, behavioral, or social sciences, along with a minimum of one year of related professional experience.

Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in standard software applications is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and the public.

A valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory.

Special Requirements

This position necessitates certification as a Juvenile Probation Officer within six months of employment, along with the successful completion of a thorough background investigation. Candidates will undergo mandatory drug testing prior to employment and may be subject to random testing during their tenure.

Work Environment

The role may involve working in a secure facility, requiring the ability to physically manage and restrain youth when necessary. The position may also involve travel to various work sites.
