Position Summary

The Inside Product Support Specialist will be responsible for delivering product and technical assistance, as well as training related to our forklift trucks. This role is crucial in supporting our field service teams and ensuring all customers receive comprehensive technical support for our entire product range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver product support for forklifts manufactured by the company.
  • Assist internal departments with inquiries or projects related to service.
  • Collaborate with the training department during training sessions, including event coordination and logistics.
  • Document all relevant communications in the Service Call Center database management system.
  • Prepare weekly reports detailing activities for the product support and warranty manager.
  • Review significant warranty claims in conjunction with the warranty department.
  • Provide updated technical information to technicians seeking assistance.
  • Handle inquiries and incoming calls within the Service Call Center, directing them to the appropriate internal partners or field personnel.
  • Address inquiries from external customers.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Willingness to travel as needed to support dealers (up to 10%).
  • Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence. Effective communication skills for addressing groups of customers or employees.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Familiarity with basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Competence in addressing problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
