Position Overview
As an Inside Product Support Specialist for Forklifts, you will be responsible for delivering product and technical assistance, as well as training related to our forklift machinery. Your role will involve supporting field service personnel and providing technical guidance to all customers regarding our diverse range of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer product support for forklifts manufactured by the company.
- Assist internal teams with service-related inquiries and projects.
- Collaborate with the training department during training sessions, coordinating events for preparation and logistics on training days.
- Document all relevant communications in the Service Call Center database management system.
- Submit weekly reports detailing activities to the product support and warranty manager.
- Evaluate high-value warranty claims in conjunction with the warranty department.
- Provide updated technical information to technicians seeking assistance.
- Manage inquiries and incoming calls within the Service Call Center, directing them to the appropriate internal partners or field personnel.
- Address inquiries from external customers.
• Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of technical experience with material handling equipment, construction machinery, or automotive products.
• Skills Required:
- Language Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operational and maintenance manuals, wiring and hydraulic schematics, and procedural documents. Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence. Capable of effectively communicating in front of groups of customers or employees.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Familiarity with basic algebra and geometry concepts.
- Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Capable of resolving issues involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Travel: Occasional travel may be required to support dealers (up to 10%), with or without prior notice.
