ROLE OF A MOBILITY SERVICES SUPERVISOR


The Mobility Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the wheelchair assistance operations at the airport, ensuring high-quality service for passengers with mobility needs by leading a team of Wheelchair Leads and Attendants.

This position entails training personnel, enforcing service quality standards, and collaborating with various airport departments to ensure smooth operations.

Addressing complex challenges and ensuring passenger satisfaction while adhering to airport and regulatory standards are critical components of this role.


WHAT TO EXPECT AS A MOBILITY SERVICES SUPERVISOR

  • Oversee daily operations and activities of the mobility assistance team.
  • Ensure effective scheduling of wheelchair attendants across multiple airport terminals.
  • Monitor compliance with safety protocols and guidelines for wheelchair handling and passenger support.
  • Train and mentor wheelchair attendants on best practices and exceptional customer service.
  • Manage and resolve operational challenges or passenger concerns related to mobility services.
  • Collaborate with airport authorities and airline personnel to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Work closely with HR for recruitment, training, and management of mobility service staff.
  • Exceed customer service and safety expectations set by PrimeFlight.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in customer service or airport operations.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to effectively manage teams and navigate challenging situations.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English, including comprehension of documents.
  • Ability to utilize electronic devices such as tablets, computers, and mobile devices.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and electronically.
  • Pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, etc., as applicable).
  • Willingness to work any day/shift, including holidays, in a 24/7 operational environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:

o Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

o Prolonged standing and walking in various environments

o Capability to push, pull, bend, stretch, and squat

o Exposure to moderate to high noise levels

o Ability to hear and respond to spoken communication and audible alarms

o Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers

o Specific vision abilities required for this role include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
