Position Summary:

  • Oversees and directs the environmental services team at a designated campus in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides leadership, support, coordination, and guidance to ensure adherence to quality standards, inventory management, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
  • Consistently exemplifies the characteristics necessary to uphold the Company’s Purpose, Vision, Values, and DNA.
  • Responsible for coordinating and ensuring the timely completion of various projects and programs within the facility across different shifts.
  • Utilizes protective equipment as required in all relevant tasks.
  • Maintains accurate records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Ensures all equipment is properly maintained and operational.
  • Verifies that the facility is adequately stocked with janitorial supplies.
  • Conducts periodic inventories of supplies and materials, trains new staff, and recommends personnel actions as necessary.
  • Acts as a liaison between building occupants or administrators and the environmental services team.
  • Must effectively communicate all directives from management and building occupants to the environmental services staff.
  • Capable of performing the duties of day porter, custodian, and floor technician as needed.
  • Training, quality control, and in-service education for staff are essential responsibilities, including regular inspections of the building to assess work quality using Quality Control Inspections (QCIs) for documentation.
  • As a department head within the school, the Supervisor must conduct themselves and their department in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in Environmental Services within a school or healthcare setting, along with personnel supervision, is desired.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Must be punctual and able to follow both oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to comprehend and implement basic infection control procedures.
  • Knowledge of safe handling and mixing of chemicals.
  • Willingness to work all shifts as required.
  • Familiarity with Environmental Services, laundry, and floor care program standards.
  • Proficient in using all departmental equipment.
  • Ability to maintain records and complete reports as necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to employ public relations techniques to foster positive interactions with clients and residents.
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, clients, and other personnel.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as mandated by relevant authorities.
  • Must be capable of lifting/carrying a maximum of 50 pounds, pushing/pulling a maximum of 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in proximity to food and cleaning products.
  • Must reside within the service area; relocation costs are not covered.
