About the Role

The Culinary Supervisor is a key member of the Legends team, responsible for overseeing the food procurement, preparation, production, and service in one or more service areas. This role reports directly to the Chef and is designed to develop future management positions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food areas within the venue follow the opening and closing checklist as designated by the Chef, and that a working digital thermometer is positioned at each cooking station.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in ensuring that all kitchen equipment throughout the venue is in proper working order.
  • Menu Preparation: Oversee the assembly of all menu items in accordance with their build sheets.
  • Inventory Management: Assist the Chef with deliveries, ensuring that all product is put away in proper locations, utilizing first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory control when applicable.
  • Compliance and Safety: Follow all Legends and HAACP food and physical safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Culinary Education or Experience: Professional training through a culinary education or experience working in a fast-paced high-volume dining restaurant/catering facility is preferred.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ability to assure compliance with company service and inventory standards.
  • Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Must be able to read, speak, and write English in order to communicate with staff and guests, and have the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in an open-air environment during all climate conditions, maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance, and have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Preferred certifications include SERVSafe and City of Philadelphia Food Safety Personnel Certificate.
