Exhibits Business Development Manager

Seize revenue-generating opportunities by selling exhibit space to new organizations and nurturing existing relationships with exhibitors. Collaborate closely with the Exhibits Director and Strategic Partnership team to cross-sell exhibit space and sponsorship items effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong, professional connections with exhibitors and sponsors through email, phone, video, and in-person meetings
  • Ensure timely completion, execution, and updates of exhibit contract agreements as required
  • Oversee the fulfillment of exhibit logistics and guarantee exhibitor satisfaction with return on investment
  • Conduct thorough research to create a comprehensive list of potential exhibitors for each conference
  • Leverage telephone solicitation, electronic correspondence, and face-to-face meetings to achieve the budgeted exhibit hall revenue target for each conference

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in trade shows or sales is required
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not necessary; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential
  • The ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment is crucial
  • Experience working with external vendors on logistical requirements is highly valued

Physical Demands:

  • The ability to sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and smell continually is required
  • The ability to stand, walk, and reach frequently is also required
  • Occasional climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessary
  • Lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds occasionally, and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds infrequently, are required
  • Close vision is necessary to see computer monitors, read documents, and operate copy and fax machines
