Position Overview: Protingent Staffing presents a compelling contract opportunity for a Project Controls Engineer.

Role Summary: The Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the project change log and managing the PCN process to ensure effective cost and scheduling management. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to review project PCNs for quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the project change log while facilitating the PCN process to support both cost and scheduling initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding the status of PCNs and any outstanding issues that may arise.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports for the Department of Energy (DOE).
  • Identify and report any variances from the established budget.
  • Evaluate the progress and performance of projects, pinpointing any potential problem areas.
  • Process project change notices efficiently.
  • Support the monthly accrual process.
  • Help facilitate project review meetings and provide project planning support as needed, actively engaging with project team members.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance project controls metrics and other performance indicators continuously.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and EPPM applications is essential.
  • Familiarity with MS Power BI Service, Oracle BI, or similar data analytics platforms is advantageous.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project Online is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a high level of motivation are crucial.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of trust and integrity, maintain open communication, and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • The starting level and title for this position will be determined based on an assessment of qualifications.
