Sales Account Manager

Thermal Scientific, Inc. is a well-established, family-owned and veteran-operated distributor specializing in scientific products. With a legacy dating back to 1962, we have expanded rapidly and now operate multiple branches across Texas.

We offer an extensive range of over 400,000 high-quality products, including chemicals, safety equipment, glassware, petroleum supplies, cleanroom materials, and specialized items. Our clientele spans various sectors such as petroleum, gas, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, life sciences, coal, medical, environmental, and nuclear industries.

Currently, we are seeking a full-time Sales Account Manager who embodies the following values:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture existing customer relationships.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and relationship management; address any post-sale issues.
  • Establish a network of resources to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Assess customer needs and propose solutions through our products and services.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Drive new customer acquisition.
  • Utilize various methods such as calls and emails to connect with clients and strengthen business relationships.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, including calls, orders, and any relationship challenges.
  • Conduct daily face-to-face sales calls.
  • Deliver presentations to showcase product benefits.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products to customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business-to-business sales.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills for closing deals.
  • Networking capabilities and the ability to manage multiple accounts.
  • Ability to clearly explain product features and benefits.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug screening.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel within the sales territory to meet clients.
  • Availability for overnight travel as needed.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Prior sales experience.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite ERP is advantageous.
  • Background in chemistry or laboratory work.
  • Certification in Hazmat Training.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $53,000.00 annually
