Position Overview:
As a Senior Clinical Nutrition Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive clinical nutrition services. This includes conducting thorough nutrition assessments, formulating tailored dietary plans, providing self-management training, and implementing nutrition interventions for patients and residents.

Our commitment to patient satisfaction, quality care, and compliance with regulatory standards is paramount. You will ensure that resources are utilized efficiently and effectively to achieve these goals.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver nutrition services in a designated specialty area, accounting for at least 70% of your responsibilities. Specialty areas may include NICU, bariatric, renal, cardiac, diabetes, nutrition support, transplant, oncology, pediatrics, and outpatient services.
2. Maintain current certification and/or a Master's degree, and present a process improvement project to the Clinical Nutrition Management Team for approval to advance to this level.
3. Conduct nutritional assessments for diverse patient populations, including neonates, infants, children, adults, and seniors, utilizing various evaluation parameters such as anthropometric measurements and laboratory values.
4. Develop and adjust nutrition care plans based on comprehensive data gathered from patients, medical records, families, and healthcare teams.
5. Integrate evidence-based research into practice and utilize established protocols to implement and modify dietary orders and nutrition-related actions.
6. Manage nutrition support therapies, ensuring adherence to specialized training and organizational policies.
7. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Public Health Nutrition, Nutrition Science, Dietetics, or a related field (Required)
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in maternal and child health (Required)
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Dietitian and specialty certification (e.g., CDE, CSR, CSP, CNSC) as applicable (Required)
Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting professional literature and regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Competent in mathematical calculations relevant to nutrition.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and standard computer applications.
- Ability to analyze problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
