About the Role
Position Title/Job Function: Clinical Nutrition Specialist
Position Objective: The Clinical Nutrition Specialist will deliver nutritional guidance for clinical research initiatives focused on the effects of plant-based diets on health.
About the Clinical Research Team: Our team is dedicated to conducting a series of clinical trials and meta-analyses that establish the benefits of plant-based diets. Our innovative studies aim to capture public and media attention, influencing health policies and dietary habits.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct nutrition education sessions for research participants.
- Assist in the recruitment and enrollment of study participants.
- Support participant assessments, particularly in diet record analysis.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Required Physical Abilities: Office work and the ability to perform clinical assessments.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time exempt position, requiring flexibility in hours, including occasional early morning and evening commitments.
Position Level: The role may be classified as Coordinator or Specialist based on the candidate's experience.
Salary: Salary will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.
Reports To: Director of Clinical Research
Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree in nutrition or public health is preferred.
Credentials: Registered Dietitian (RD) credential is required.
Work Experience: A minimum of three years of experience as a dietitian is required.
Additional Qualities: Experience with plant-based diets is essential.
