Clinical Nutrition Specialist

to contribute 20 hours per week in a

Continuing Care Retirement Community.

The ideal candidate will:
be a licensed Clinical Nutrition Specialist;
deliver nutritional care to residents in long-term care, rehabilitation, assisted living, and memory care settings;
implement quality improvement initiatives such as meal assessments and feedback sessions;
collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nursing staff;
possess strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in enhancing the daily lives of seniors.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as mandated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as mandated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:


Meets eligibility criteria for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will obtain registration within 120 days of employment.
In certain states and/or facilities, RD/RDN credentials may be required at the time of hire.
Certification/licensure as mandated by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities, state certification/licensure may be required at the time of hire.

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year of professional experience in healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.
