Role Overview

Position Title: Clinical Nutrition Specialist

Objective: The Clinical Nutrition Specialist will deliver nutritional expertise for clinical research projects focusing on the benefits of plant-based diets.

Research Team Overview: Our clinical research team is dedicated to exploring the efficacy of plant-based diets through a series of meticulously planned trials and analyses. Our research not only garners media attention but also influences health policies and public dietary habits, contributing to a significant shift away from harmful dietary practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nutrition education sessions for research participants.
  • Assist in the recruitment and enrollment of study participants.
  • Support participant assessments, particularly in dietary record evaluation.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Physical Requirements: Office-based work with the capability to perform clinical assessments.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time exempt position, requiring flexibility in hours, including occasional early morning and evening commitments.

Position Level: The role may be classified as either Coordinator or Specialist based on the candidate's experience.

Compensation: Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to: Director of Clinical Research

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree in nutrition or public health is preferred.

Credentials: Registered Dietitian (RD) credential is mandatory.

Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in dietetics is required.

Additional Qualities: Experience with plant-based diets is essential.
