ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly skilled Import Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the importation of goods, including negotiating trucking rates and handling costs, coordinating with third parties, and arranging freight and customs releases.
You will work closely with customers, overseas offices, internal stakeholders, and third parties to ensure seamless logistics operations. Your expertise in pricing and import regulations will be essential in providing superb customer service and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the importation of goods, including negotiating trucking rates and handling costs
- Coordinate with third parties to move cargo by ocean and air in accordance with customer requirements
- Arrange freight and customs releases
- Provide superb customer service and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2-5 years of import work experience with a Freight Forwarder
- Pricing experience
