Job Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the Neurology Ambulatory Care setting plays a vital role as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. This position primarily involves managing the neurological health needs of patients within a clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

The APP will:
  • Work closely with outpatient cardiology testing teams, including EMG and MRI.
  • Be part of a service-aligned team, overseeing the care of outpatient individuals.
  • Occasionally engage with the same patient demographic in a consultative inpatient capacity, serving as a resource for inpatient care teams.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) for Nurse Practitioners or a Bachelor of Science for Physician Assistants.
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) credentials.
  • A strong foundation in evidence-based practice and education.

The APP is expected to demonstrate:
  • Advanced medical and nursing knowledge.
  • Clinical and technical proficiency.
  • Sound clinical judgment and professionalism.
  • Effective communication skills and timely documentation.

Work Environment

This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role may require sitting or standing for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
