Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Nursing for Nurse Practitioners or Bachelor's degree for Physician Assistants.

Licensure/Certification:

Must possess Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) credentials.

Physical Demands:

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Overview:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) operates within the neurology outpatient environment, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The APP primarily engages in clinical duties, addressing the neurological needs of patients within the designated population. Additionally, the APP may interact with outpatient cardiology testing teams, such as those conducting EMG and MRI procedures.

In certain cases, the APP may also provide care for the same patient demographic in a consultative inpatient role or serve as a resource for the inpatient care team. The APP is expected to have a solid foundation in evidence-based practices and education, ensuring a safe and high-quality care environment.

The APP demonstrates advanced medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical proficiency, sound clinical judgment, and professionalism, particularly in interpersonal communication and documentation. Continuous professional development and competency validation are essential responsibilities of this role.
