Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) for Nurse Practitioners or a Bachelor of Science for Physician Assistants. Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) credentials or as a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) is required. No prior experience is necessary for this role.

Key Responsibilities

The APP will:
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting, addressing both acute and chronic mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient management from admission through discharge.
  • Participate in follow-up care for patients transitioning to outpatient services.
  • Engage in the psychiatric admission process as needed.
  • Maintain a commitment to evidence-based practices and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.

Essential Skills

The candidate should demonstrate:
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and technical skills in psychiatric care.
  • Strong clinical judgment and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Effective communication skills for documentation and patient interaction.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and competency validation.

Physical Requirements

The role involves regular sitting, standing, and walking, with the ability to lift objects weighing up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.


Work Schedule

This position requires on-call availability, which may include weekends and evenings.
