Job Summary

The Guest Service Lead at Nothing Bundt Cakes - 295 is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment for guests, offering creative solutions for unique celebratory occasions, and selling our delicious cakes. This role is a key part of our team, working alongside the Bakery Assistant Manager and team members to create the highest-quality cakes and a superior guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promptly greet guests with genuine warmth and helpful enthusiasm to determine their interests and needs.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge to educate guests on our cake distinction, size, and flavor profile options, pricing, special promotions, and complementary retail merchandise.
  • Suggest additional merchandise to complete unique celebrations.
  • Process guest orders efficiently and accurately using our point-of-sale system and invite guests to join our Email Club to benefit from special promotions.
  • Uphold a clean and organized bakery presentation, including routine sweeping/mopping of the floor and dusting/cleaning of countertops, windows, and other surfaces.
  • Replenish retail merchandise and cake display case to ensure a strong visual presentation.
  • Assist the Crafter in preparing cake decorations and packaging supplies as needed.
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines and our policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
  • Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.
  • Prioritize the guest experience, model superior guest engagement, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Partner with the Bakery Assistant Manager in leading all aspects of frosting production, training, work environment, P&L management, and inventory control.
  • Support the Bakery Assistant Manager in recruiting, selecting, and training team members, directing daily work responsibilities, and providing performance feedback and coaching.
  • Ensure our product, service, bakery environment, and visual merchandising standards are consistently upheld and that all bakery operations adhere to food and health safety standards and our policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Bakery Assistant Manager in executing operational and administrative responsibilities, including cake production plans, productivity goal setting, team scheduling, supply ordering, and labor reporting.
  • Co-facilitate the opening and closing of the bakery, including cash-drawer balancing and bank deposits.
  • Contribute to marketing strategy execution in the local community by helping to coordinate and participating in special, brand-building events.

  • Understand basic arithmetic and be able to perform calculations when needed and provide monetary change using U.S. currency.
  • Have the capacity to stand for extended periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment.
