About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Catering Sales Manager to join our team at Sheraton San Jose. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for soliciting new catering accounts, entertaining and sustaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Marketing: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to existing and potential clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate and execute events, conferences, and meetings, ensuring seamless execution and high customer satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and events teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit regular sales reports, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 4 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field.
  • Education: A 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience, or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Windows, Company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing. Proficiency in CI/TY is preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of employees and guests.
