Job Title: Payment Posting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Payment Posting Specialist to join our team at CoreLife. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for managing and resolving denials, including charge entry, payment posting, follow-up, and collections in accordance with practice protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Post all insurance payments received, including EFTs, lockbox, and manual payments.
  • Post all credit card and patient payments.
  • Post all zero-pay remits.
  • Review all exceptions/denials during posting and make necessary adjustments following write-off policies.
  • Analyze accounts for proper claims processing and payment posting through inquiries from patients or staff.
  • Maintain regular communication with management regarding denial findings.
  • Organize and maintain information on coding, insurance carriers, managed care networks, and credentialing.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers.
  • Handle stressful situations calmly and productively while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA requirements and standards.
Qualifications:
  • An associate degree or higher is preferred, or equivalent to 3-5 years of experience in medical billing.
  • 3-5 years of experience in payment posting within the medical field.
  • Proficiency in EPIC is required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all facets of the revenue cycle process and procedures.
  • Experience and understanding of CPT/ICD-10 coding.
  • Knowledge of insurance carrier and payer requirements.
