This position involves performing accounts receivable functions to guarantee timely and precise collection of payments, daily cash reconciliation, and accurate reporting of receivables in alignment with Concentra's policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Address escalated issues through effective communication with various stakeholders, including employers, insurance providers, third-party administrators, and laboratories.
- Manage rebilling processes and draft correspondence for clients.
- Monitor and analyze account aging reports to ensure prompt collections.
- Review documentation, reconcile discrepancies, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Conduct account payment reconciliations against incoming receipts.
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on accounts receivable and overdue accounts for management and clients.
- Negotiate repayment terms with clients for overdue accounts.
- Make informed decisions regarding account referrals for collections or write-offs.
- Provide training to new staff and support colleagues as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with the understanding that responsibilities may evolve over time.
- Assess when adjustments are necessary and resolve employer-related issues, such as misapplied or missing payments.
- Collaborate with clinics to address invoice discrepancies and obtain supporting documentation.
- Monitor rebilling for outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to facilitate efficient workflows.

Qualifications
Education and Credentials
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Job-Related Experience
- Typically requires a minimum of three years of demonstrated experience in collections, preferably in occupational health.
Skills and Competencies

- Ability to make decisions and solve problems using logical reasoning to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose effective solutions.
- Exceptional customer service skills, demonstrating tact and professionalism in interactions.
- Proficient in handling sensitive and confidential information in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word is required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent time management abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
