Position Overview:
EmergencyMD is in search of a Community Engagement Coordinator to foster relationships with families and community partners.

Role Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Program Director, the Community Engagement Coordinator will collaborate with local organizations and educational institutions to execute community engagement activities.

This role involves working directly with families and educators to identify and mitigate obstacles to family involvement, ensuring equitable access to essential resources including educational, emotional, and health services.


Key Duties:
1. Gather and analyze data and feedback from community initiatives to assess project outcomes.


2. Partner with the Program Director to provide training and professional development for families, educators, and community organizations, focusing on frameworks for family engagement.


3. Collaborate with parents and families to identify and address barriers affecting children’s success.

4. Engage with community partners to enhance collaborative opportunities.


5. Assist in the organization and support of community engagement work groups, events, and initiatives.

6. Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, educators, and families to ensure the success of programs.


Additional Responsibilities:
Regularly input data and maintain records of services provided.

Expand relationships with community partners.

Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission of EmergencyMD.

Qualifications:


Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in counseling, education, liberal arts, or a related field is required.

Additional years of formal education may substitute for required work experience.

Experience:

A minimum of three years of experience in an educational or community setting is preferred, with a focus on teaching, advising, or counseling.


Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Experience in advising, counseling, mentoring, and partnership development.

Proven experience in delivering training to families and educators.

Experience working with diverse and underserved communities.

Recommended Attributes:


Experience in counseling or programming for families and students; knowledge of community resources; direct experience with underrepresented populations; excellent interpersonal skills; proficiency in data management and report generation.

Ability to make informed decisions and follow detailed instructions in gathering and organizing information. Must maintain a professional appearance as determined by organizational standards.

Work Environment:


This position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote and in-person responsibilities.
