Summary:

The Lead Technology Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the ongoing maintenance and support of workplace endpoint technology, which encompasses desktops, laptops, thin clients, and virtual desktops.

This position is responsible for executing procedures that ensure all products and services align with organizational standards and user expectations.

The Specialist aids in the installation, upkeep, and testing of workplace endpoint technology to guarantee optimal performance and defect-free operation.

Additionally, the Lead Technology Support Specialist monitors and addresses technical issues using various hardware and software testing tools and methodologies. This role may also involve coordinating small-scale projects.


Key Responsibilities:
To excel in this role, an individual must effectively manage the following duties:
  • Respond to and document help desk inquiries.
  • Address ServiceNow service requests promptly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, software, and printers.
  • Create, update, and deploy software to virtual desktops.
  • Document all procedures related to desktop software and hardware.
  • Occasional travel to remote locations as needed.
  • Provide weekly status updates to management.
  • Offer dedicated desktop support for various departments and special projects, including application testing and implementations.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and represent the Help Desk in project turnover discussions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong problem-solving, team-building, leadership, responsiveness, and professionalism skills.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Windows 10 Operating Systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Familiarity with VMWare or other VDI technologies.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, AutoIT, or other scripting technologies, along with PKI exposure, is advantageous.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
