Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at HealthCare Support. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a smooth and efficient registration and scheduling process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduling, registration, and patient pre-admission and admission functions
  • Resolve patient and physician office issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Obtain complete and accurate patient demographic information
  • Provide world-class customer service and adhere to Conifer Standards of Care
  • Explain and secure hospital and patient legal forms, including Advance Directives and Consent for treatment
  • Scan Protected Health Information and create patient information packets/folders
  • Assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures and educate patients about patient financial liabilities
  • Employ proper patient liability collection techniques and perform hospital cash reconciliation
Requirements
  • 1+ year of customer service experience
  • 1+ year of administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 35 WPM typing speed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform essential job duties in at least two Patient Access service areas
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college coursework
  • Understanding of Third Party Payor requirements
