BL Companies is currently seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. In this crucial position, you will manage and supervise the mechanical engineering components of MEP projects from inception to completion.

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, your role will be vital in project management, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the creation of innovative MEP solutions.

Your leadership will be essential in mentoring junior engineers and steering the design process.

In this capacity, you will be tasked with delivering senior engineering design and project management for a range of mechanical designs for building systems, from basic to complex levels.

The responsibilities will include managing design tasks across various systems, such as:

Mechanical:
Flow diagrams

Heat Load Calculations
Static Pressure Calculations
Equipment sizing
Ductwork Sizing

Electrical:
Basic One line Risers

Fire Alarm Devices
Lighting and Controls
Power and Feeders

Plumbing:
Fixture Selection

Pipe sizing and routing (Sanitary, storm, gas, and domestic)
Venting requirements
Service Sizing

Fire Protection:
Risers

Sprinkler head locations

Required Experience:
8+ years of MEP experience
BS in Mechanical Engineering is required.
PE license preferred, but not mandatory.
Strong technical aptitude
Experience in Revit and AutoCAD
Project Management
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Familiarity with both Federal and state codes governing such designs.
