Job Summary

Mirion is seeking a skilled Assembler I to join our team. As an Assembler I, you will be responsible for building and assembling various components and sub-assemblies for radiation detection equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and build various components and sub-assemblies for radiation detection equipment
  • Perform leak testing and evacuation of cryogenic hardware
  • Clean and prepare hardware for assembly
  • Solder and epoxy components as required
  • Maintain stocks and supplies of materials and equipment
  • Work with Engineering to identify and correct problems
  • Inspect manufactured items for quality and conformance to standards
  • Verify proper revision levels and markings on components
  • Assist team members and provide support as needed

Requirements

  • Two+ years of mechanical assembly or related manufacturing experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and components
  • Good math skills and knowledge of metric measurements
  • Ability to handle chemicals safely and use basic hand tools
  • Basic vacuum and leak testing knowledge
  • Inspection experience and some microscope usage
