We are currently looking for a motivated Junior Civil Engineering Associate to join our Transmission and Distribution Group. The successful candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Lead technical initiatives for civil engineering teams on projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV.
  • Independently manage design tasks utilizing sound engineering principles.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure project standards are met.
  • Communicate project scope modifications to the engineering lead and project manager.
  • Provide input to maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Identify and assess technical risks associated with projects.
  • Develop and implement processes to enhance team efficiency.
  • Create and deliver training programs for team members.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

The ideal candidate will excel in building and nurturing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the overall success of project teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Alternatively, a degree in Civil or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program along with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
  • A Master's degree in Engineering may substitute for one year of professional experience.
  • Completion of the FE or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) exam is highly preferred.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant internship or consulting experience is advantageous.
  • Active involvement in campus or community activities is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of standard civil engineering techniques and principles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in analytical problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, RISA-3D, and MathCADD.
  • Attention to detail, teamwork, collaboration, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring future sponsorship.

The expected compensation for this position is competitive and based on various factors, including education, qualifications, and experience. The total compensation package includes a base salary and eligibility for a discretionary year-end incentive bonus.
