Role Responsibilities

The Senior Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineer will spearhead the development and implementation of CFD design models. This position involves leading the CFD project team throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring that models are adapted to meet budgetary constraints, design specifications, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive CFD analyses from the initial conceptual phase through to project completion, aligning with project managers' objectives.
  • Utilizing established CFD concepts, practices, and procedures within the industry.
  • Applying expertise to complex projects to identify innovative design solutions.
  • Preparing and delivering technical reports to clients, ensuring clarity and thoroughness.
  • Meeting customer satisfaction goals and expectations consistently.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Facilitating effective communication with various engineering disciplines.
  • Reviewing engineering design information related to CFD modeling requirements.
  • Conducting wind speed and weather probability analyses.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program, along with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and a minimum of three years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in consulting; or
  • A Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least two years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in CFD analysis is preferred.
  • Experience in the Mission Critical sector is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of standard engineering techniques and practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving, demonstrating critical thinking capabilities.
  • Familiarity with steady-state and transient CFD modeling is preferred.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Ansys Fluent and SpaceClaim is desirable.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), and HVAC analysis programs.
  • Attention to detail, teamwork, and organizational skills are essential.
