Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will strategize, develop, and execute effective recruitment and staffing plans to attract a diverse array of qualified candidates for our organization. This role entails being accountable for recruitment efforts in various critical areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulating and implementing comprehensive recruitment strategies.
  • Providing administrative assistance throughout the entire recruitment cycle, including onboarding processes from job requisition to new hire integration.
  • Identifying and securing the most suitable candidates for available positions.
  • Coordinating and conducting interviews while managing logistics with hiring managers.
  • Facilitating new hire onboarding, including scheduling and communication with operational teams.
  • Maintaining employment records related to hiring, terminations, leaves, transfers, or promotions using human resources management systems.
  • Interpreting and clarifying human resources policies, procedures, and relevant laws.
  • Processing hiring-related documentation and onboarding paperwork.
  • Informing candidates about job responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, and career advancement opportunities.
  • Addressing employee relations matters, including workplace complaints and concerns.
  • Staying informed about Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines and laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Conducting new employee orientations.
  • Updating human resources documents, such as organizational charts and employee handbooks.
  • Collaborating with management to develop or refine personnel policies and procedures.
  • Selecting qualified applicants or referring them to management, making hiring recommendations as necessary.
  • Reviewing applications and job orders to align candidates with job specifications.
  • Conducting reference and background checks on applicants.
  • Administering exit interviews and ensuring completion of necessary termination paperwork.
  • Identifying future hiring needs, crafting job descriptions, and sourcing candidates through various channels.
  • Utilizing diverse resources such as databases, networking, online recruiting platforms, and employee referrals to find qualified candidates.
  • Providing management with training or information related to interviewing and performance documentation.
  • Assisting with various HR-related projects and reports as needed.
  • Performing additional tasks as required to support the HR team and daily operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective negotiation techniques.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality and tact.
  • Capability to devise and implement sourcing strategies for diverse roles.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with hiring regulations and best practices.
  • Proficient in applicant tracking systems and recruitment software.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience managing all aspects of recruitment and hiring is highly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Must have a clear criminal background check.
  • Basic proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
