Key Responsibilities

As an Acquisition Specialist IV, you will:

  • Handle protests in compliance with FAR and agency regulations, working to resolve issues effectively.
  • Implement measures to safeguard the Government's interests under noncommercial item contracts.
  • Examine, assess, and manage disputes/protests; facilitate negotiations and draft decisions for the Contract Officer.
  • Assess, recommend, and execute contract terminations when deemed beneficial for the Government, collaborating with vendor senior leadership to resolve disputes.
  • Provide briefings to senior FBI leadership and offer guidance on intricate acquisition issues.
  • Build and lead a collaborative acquisition team to secure complex contract vehicles for enterprise and strategic sourcing.
  • Initiate proactive vendor engagement and outreach within the industry.
  • Evaluate acquisition strategies across the section through the Procurement Strategy Review (PSR).
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Top Secret Clearance is mandatory.
  • Between six to twelve (12) years of experience in federal contracting relevant to the responsibilities outlined for this position.
  • FAC-C Level III or DAWIA Level III certification is preferred.
