Job Overview

Position Summary:

Systems Technology & Research, Inc. is actively looking for a Supply Chain Acquisition Specialist to assist the Utility Helicopters Project Manager's Office in the formulation and oversight of aircraft requirements. This includes new acquisitions, upgrades, modifications, or life extension of the existing fleet along with life cycle support initiatives. The ideal candidate will spearhead the logistics operations and deliver programmatic supervision of the entire Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case, ensuring comprehensive life-cycle logistics support through a Total Package Approach (TPA). This role encompasses the development of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) strategies to guide, advise, and collaborate with both the internal team and international partners to advance the project.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the creation of comprehensive ILS support planning from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to fulfill country-specific requirements, sourcing components from US Army supply and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for rough order of magnitude (ROM) pricing, and formulating estimates for spare parts packages based on aircraft configuration and inventory management.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of spare parts in response to country requests.
  • Oversee the execution of the Total Package Approach (TPA) and the development of fielding plans for customer support following the initial aircraft delivery.
  • Coordinate with SAMD and UHPO to identify and manage training requirements.
  • Provide strategic and long-term insights and recommendations regarding customer country interactions and OEM acquisition strategies.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree accompanied by ten (10) years of relevant experience in programmatic, logistics, or maintenance fields.
  • Extensive experience in Army Acquisition Logistics and/or Aviation Branch in critical functional areas such as Operations, Quality Control (QC), Production Control (PC), repair facilities, and maintenance teams.
  • Familiarity with DoD 5000 Series Acquisition regulations related to Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and associated processes.
  • A logistics background with hands-on deployment experience in developing spare parts packages or fielding aircraft.
  • Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Possession of an active DOD Secret Security Clearance or the capability to obtain one.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize internal and external responsibilities.
  • Capability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong comprehension of engineering technical data.
