Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, personal care, and household management.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that fosters independence and personal development.
  • Assist clients in engaging in community activities, recreational outings, and social gatherings.
  • Keep accurate records of client progress and daily interactions.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is necessary; relevant experience of 6 months or more in a group home or similar environment is preferred.
  • Must be compassionate and patient, with a sincere commitment to helping others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving situations and manage challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism.
  • Current CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to obtain these certifications prior to employment.
  • Current OIS (Oregon Intervention System) training or willingness to acquire this certification prior to employment.
  • Completion of Workday DSP tier 1 & tier 2 Core Competencies or willingness to obtain this certification prior to employment.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening is required.
