Foster Care Support Specialist

Position Overview:
As a Foster Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in offering direct assistance, training, and guidance to parents and caregivers as they navigate the complex systems of care for youth within their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
Establishing structured and positive relationships with caregivers to empower them in effectively parenting youth who have experienced trauma.
Services are primarily delivered in community settings, targeting parents who are responsible for youth with recognized behavioral and/or mental health challenges.
Client-Centered Mentoring:
This mentoring approach is driven by the needs of the client and is provided during times deemed most relevant, which may include evenings, early mornings, and occasional weekends.
Compensation:
Eligible for mileage and travel time reimbursement.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with or caring for youth exhibiting challenging behaviors.
- Ability to successfully pass fingerprinting and background checks.
- Strong preference for candidates with lived experience as a Foster Parent.
