Compensation Range: $21.50/hr. – $28/hr. (based on experience)

In a team-oriented setting, the Healthcare Support Specialist will assist Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologists, and patients by performing a variety of essential tasks, including patient care management, organization, and effective communication.

The Healthcare Support Specialist is responsible for executing all tasks with precision, maintaining high standards of quality, and ensuring timely completion while embodying our mission to redefine value and access to quality healthcare through a streamlined experience, a culture of care, and integration with our partners and communities. Job Qualifications

Educational Background

Completion of a Medical Assistant Program is required

OR

A minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience under a licensed healthcare supervisor within the last 3 years (ABR-OE from the AAMA must be obtained within 2 weeks of hire if Medical Assistant Certification is not acquired upon hire)

Professional Experience

Preferred Medical Assistant experience for graduates of a Medical Assistant Program

OR

At least 2 years of Medical Assistant experience within the last 3 years under a licensed healthcare supervisor in lieu of a Medical Assistant program

Required Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire One of the following certifications is mandatory (or must be obtained within 15 months of hire): CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Healthcareer Association), CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistants), RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists), NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing), Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or LPN at the time of hire, EMT – Emergency Medical Technician (verified through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians), CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant, NRCMA – Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)

Essential Skills and Competencies

Familiarity with medical office management systems and procedures Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Social perceptiveness and a service-oriented mindset Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Strong organizational and planning capabilities Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
