Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support with daily tasks including meal preparation, personal care, and household management.
- Encourage a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that fosters independence and personal development.
- Assist clients in engaging in community activities, recreational outings, and social gatherings.
- Keep precise records of client progress and daily interactions.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; relevant experience of at least 1 year in a group home or similar environment is preferred.
- OIS Certification is mandatory.
- CPR/First Aid Certification for Adults & Children or the commitment to obtain this certification prior to employment.
- Completion of Workday DSP Core Competencies Tier 1 & Tier 2 or the willingness to complete this training prior to employment.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening (including THC).
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a sincere desire to assist others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to adapt to evolving situations and manage challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
