POSITION OVERVIEW

The Case Worker plays a vital role in delivering intake and enrollment services to qualified individuals seeking Refugee Cash and Medical Assistance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate intake and orientation for eligible clients entering the Refugee Cash and Medical Assistance program.
  • Develop tailored service plans based on comprehensive client needs assessments.
  • Collaborate with various Catholic Charities programs to ensure client enrollment.
  • Administer client cash benefits while ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Maintain detailed case notes and client files.
  • Stay updated on Catholic Charities programs and community resources.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing program enhancements.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports with precision and timeliness.
  • Engage in community partnerships and foster relationships with relevant organizations.
  • Uphold confidentiality standards and manage client records securely.
  • Actively participate as a team member of Catholic Charities and remain accessible to staff and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exhibited cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Ability to effectively manage program budgets.
  • Capability to work independently and with diverse populations.
  • Comfortable operating within a faith-based environment.
  • Proficient in various software applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Adept at building positive community relationships.

  • Willingness to travel as necessary within a designated area.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.

Experience:

  • Relevant experience working with diverse populations, particularly in refugee social service initiatives.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid Texas driver's license.
  • Required certification in Diocese of Austin EIM within 60 days of employment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
