Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Paramedic Instructor to join our Emergency Medical Technology team at Central Texas College. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction to EMT and Paramedic students in the lab and clinical settings, ensuring their successful completion of the course and certification in Texas and NREMT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with and work under the direction of the program director/coordinator.
  • Provide instruction to EMT and Paramedic students in the lab and clinical settings.
  • Guide and evaluate students in the lab and clinical area.
  • Communicate with students, agency personnel, and college personnel.
  • Function as a member of the Emergency Medical Technology team, led by a program director/coordinator.
Requirements
  • An Associate Degree in Applied Science, Paramedic Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Current Certification as a Paramedic in Texas and/or NREMT-P certification with privileges to practice in Texas and current EMS Instructor certification in Texas required.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as an EMT-Paramedic required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Paramedic/EMT DOT Curriculum necessary for certification in Texas and NREMT.
  • Knowledge of educational principles.
  • Knowledge of state and national regulatory agency requirements.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, providing instruction and guidance to students in the lab and clinical settings. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
