Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at Canyons Village Medical Clinic. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience from check-in to check-out.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients in a professional and welcoming manner, assessing their needs and ensuring their expectations are exceeded.
  • Updates and verifies patient demographics, insurance, and contact information, and assists patients in completing necessary forms.
  • Scans paperwork, educates patients on financial assistance, and proactively requests payments for current and past medical services.
  • Directs patients on next steps, informs them of delays and wait times, and schedules appointments using provider templates and scheduling guidelines.
  • Supports administrative functions, including working reports, addressing patient concerns, and performing paperwork.
  • Coordinates with other care teams and employees to provide a seamless experience for patients.
Requirements
  • 6 months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
  • Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of customer service experience, especially in a hospital or medical office.
  • Problem-solving ability, analytical skills, self-motivation, and ability to work well in a clinic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment

This role requires interacting with others, operating computers and office equipment, and remaining sitting or standing for long periods of time.
