About the Role:
Ascendo is collaborating with a dynamic Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization that is expanding its operations in the United States. We are looking for a Financial Operations Manager to become an integral part of the finance team. The successful candidate will possess extensive expertise in accounting, particularly within the CPG or food sectors, and will be well-versed in QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities:
The Financial Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing accounting functions as the company grows its footprint in the US market. Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering QuickBooks and supervising the bookkeeping staff located in Florida.
  • Overseeing inventory accounting to ensure precise tracking of products.
  • Managing month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Maintaining relationships with banking institutions and handling banking operations.
  • Assisting the CFO with financial reporting and analytical tasks.
  • Ensuring adherence to sales tax regulations in the US and Canada.
  • Facilitating transfer pricing and managing international sales transactions.
  • Collaborating with logistics and commercial teams across different locations.
  • Generating financial reports and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Proficient in QuickBooks.
  • Strong knowledge of the CPG industry, with a focus on food.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Familiarity with international sales, encompassing sales tax, GST, and transfer pricing.
  • Experience in managing month-end closing processes and journal entries.
