Key Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for managing patient interactions and supporting clinical operations. This includes:

  • Preparing patients for examinations by recording vital signs and updating health information.
  • Documenting patient assessments and encounters in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Communicating significant changes in patient conditions to healthcare providers.
  • Assisting with minor medical procedures and preparing necessary equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
  • Educating patients about procedures and answering their questions.
  • Coordinating with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Ordering and scheduling lab tests as needed.
  • Managing inventory of medical supplies and ensuring proper sterilization of instruments.
  • Adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification is necessary.
  • BCLS certification required.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
