Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Vice President of Revenue Operations will be responsible for steering Avenu's marketing, branding, go-to-market (GTM) strategies, digital sales initiatives, and sales development representative (SDR) functions to enhance pipeline generation and revenue growth while fostering industry recognition. The role entails formulating a comprehensive marketing and growth framework, crafting a detailed marketing plan with defined methodologies and timelines, managing internal communications, endorsing marketing campaigns, developing promotional materials, and enabling the necessary technologies and processes that underpin the go-to-market strategy, all while assessing the return on investment for financial outlays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate all sales performance indicators to ensure alignment with targets, optimizing expenditures, and significantly increasing both the volume and quality of leads.
  • Oversee the enhancement of the Avenu website, ensuring it contains engaging marketing content and resources that effectively communicate the value of our solutions to key buyer personas.
  • Lead and manage the sales enablement framework, providing resources and tools to the sales team that expedite opportunities, enhance win rates, and expand deal sizes.
  • Collaborate with Sales Account Executives, Client Success Managers, business development teams, Business Unit leaders, and other departments to extract insights for developing and executing marketing and branding strategies for both new and existing offerings.
  • Identify immediate and long-term scheduling, budgetary, and resource requirements, including the creation and oversight of an annual marketing budget, expenditures, return on investment, and other financial considerations.
  • Possess a strong understanding of industry-standard marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to deliver market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign outcomes, and trends, translating these results into actionable insights.
  • Direct the formulation of our sales and marketing strategy and related plans, working closely with business development, delivery teams, senior leadership, and partners to devise an effective marketing strategy aimed at expanding our audience for services.
  • Lead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing campaigns, including go-to-market initiatives, branding efforts, collateral creation, tracking, results reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Manage the development and execution of strategies in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team, including planning product concepts and promotional programs to stimulate interest and drive sales.
  • Engage in regular meetings to assess the sales pipeline, address challenges, propose solutions, and provide ongoing training to ensure team alignment on marketing needs and go-to-market strategies.
  • Participate in industry conventions, conferences, and trade shows, preparing engaging displays and materials as necessary, and providing post-event evaluations and analyses.
  • Lead and guide internal marketing, proposal, SDR, and Deal Support teams, as well as external vendors or consultants as needed to fulfill Avenu's objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 6-10 years of experience in B2B marketing, particularly in marketing financial products or solutions to local governments is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience in managing a P&L budget.
  • Proven track record in digital demand generation and content marketing strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business is preferred; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience in relevant fields is highly valued.

Work Environment:

  • The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, as the employee operates in an office setting, utilizing a telephone and computer.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of the workday.
  • Regularly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as printers and copiers.
  • This position may require occasional movement within the office.
  • Frequent communication via telephone is necessary.
