Vice President of Finance

Background: Cahaba Medical Care Foundation is a recognized Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to delivering comprehensive medical, pharmacy, dental, and behavioral health services to underserved populations across Alabama.

Purpose: We are in search of a Vice President of Finance to formulate and execute financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate and execute financial strategies
• Oversee accounting and reporting systems
• Coordinate auditing processes
• Enhance cash flow management
• Supervise grant activities
• Ensure effective revenue cycle management
• Generate financial reports
• Collaborate with HR on payroll matters
• Review and negotiate contracts
• Provide financial insights during events

Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Create financial forecasting models
• Conduct thorough financial analysis
• Supervise the budgeting process
• Monitor performance against established budgets
• Develop models for profitability analysis

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

• Formulate and implement strategic initiatives
• Assess financial implications of decisions
• Evaluate organizational performance metrics
• Guide decisions on capital allocation
• Prepare agendas for meetings

Risk Management and Compliance:

• Supervise compliance with regulatory requirements
• Ensure adherence to financial reporting standards
• Identify and mitigate financial risks
• Implement robust internal control systems

Board Relations and Reporting:

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports for the Board
• Communicate financial performance to Board members
• Lead the Finance Committee initiatives
• Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures

Team Leadership:

• Provide guidance and mentorship to finance staff
• Share constructive performance feedback
• Engage in cross-departmental collaboration

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess extensive leadership experience in finance, with a strong understanding of GAAP compliance, revenue cycle management, and financial analysis.
