As a Licensed Practical Nurse Unit Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding nursing care and leadership within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential to the role, and reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform these functions:
  • Conduct daily rounds on the assigned unit to assess residents, ensuring compliance with regulations and effective staff assignments.
  • Oversee resident care, including developing care assignments, monitoring task completion, and administering medications as required.
  • Collaborate on care plans to enhance residents' physical, social, and mental well-being, ensuring effective communication with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Ensure timely communication regarding resident care matters, including incidents, changes in condition, and treatment updates.
  • Mentor and train staff, facilitating orientation for new team members and identifying areas for professional development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, assessments, and any incidents that occur during shifts.
  • Report significant information to the Director of Nursing, including compliance issues and changes in resident behavior.
  • Participate in survey processes, assisting with readiness and responding to requests for information.
  • Promote safety for both residents and staff by adhering to OSHA standards and participating in emergency drills.
  • Conduct quality assessments to ensure compliance with established standards and contribute to policy development.
  • Stay current with nursing practices through ongoing education and training.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to manage detailed care programs.
  • Perform physical tasks as required, including lifting and assisting residents, while ensuring a safe environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role includes direct supervision of nursing staff, with responsibilities encompassing hiring, training, performance evaluation, and addressing any issues that arise.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in a related role.
- Must hold a valid nursing license in the appropriate state.
