As a Licensed Practical Nurse Unit Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding nursing care to our residents.

  • Conducts daily assessments on the assigned unit to monitor resident conditions and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Oversees resident care, which includes developing care assignments, monitoring task completion, and administering medications and treatments as necessary.
  • Collaborates on care plans to enhance the physical, social, and emotional well-being of residents.
  • Ensures effective communication regarding resident care with families, physicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitates staff training and development through orientation and ongoing education.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of care provided, assessments, and incidents.
  • Reports significant information to the Director of Nursing, including compliance issues and resident feedback.
  • Participates in survey processes and assists in maintaining readiness for inspections.
  • Promotes safety for both residents and staff by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Engages in quality assurance activities to uphold care standards.
  • Assists in the development and revision of policies to align with best practices and legal requirements.
  • Maintains professional knowledge through continuous education and training.
  • Requires the ability to interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to manage detailed tasks.
  • Physical demands include lifting, bending, and the ability to respond to emergencies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises nursing staff, ensuring adherence to facility policies and procedures. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

Job Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a preference for candidates with relevant experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must hold a valid nursing license in the appropriate state.
