  • Conduct daily assessments on the assigned unit to monitor resident conditions and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee resident care, including developing care assignments, monitoring task completion, and administering medications as needed.
  • Collaborate on care plans to enhance the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.
  • Ensure effective communication regarding resident care matters with all relevant parties.
  • Mentor and train nursing staff, facilitating their orientation and ongoing development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care and services provided during shifts.
  • Report significant information to the Director of Nursing, including compliance issues and resident behavior changes.
  • Assist in preparation for surveys and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Promote safety for both residents and staff by monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Engage in quality assurance activities to uphold care standards.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with industry knowledge through continuing education and training.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Be prepared for physical demands of the role, including lifting and mobility tasks.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises nursing staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with facility policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and addressing complaints.

Job Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must hold a valid nursing license in the appropriate state.
