As a Licensed Practical Nurse Unit Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding nursing care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct daily assessments on the assigned unit to monitor resident conditions and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Oversee resident care, including developing care assignments, monitoring task completion, and administering medications as needed.
- Collaborate on care plans to enhance the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.
- Ensure effective communication regarding resident care matters with all relevant parties.
- Mentor and train nursing staff, facilitating their orientation and ongoing development.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and services provided during shifts.
- Report significant information to the Director of Nursing, including compliance issues and resident behavior changes.
- Assist in preparation for surveys and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Promote safety for both residents and staff by monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Engage in quality assurance activities to uphold care standards.
- Contribute to the development and revision of policies and procedures.
- Stay current with industry knowledge through continuing education and training.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
- Be prepared for physical demands of the role, including lifting and mobility tasks.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises nursing staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with facility policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and addressing complaints.
Job Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must hold a valid nursing license in the appropriate state.
