The LPN will deliver nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with medical procedures, performing designated tasks within the established nursing care framework, and adhering to nursing policies and standards to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Accurately measure and record vital signs.
- Collect routine patient information as per established protocols.
- Identify and report high-risk situations to the clinical supervisor.
- Engage in regular discussions with the clinical supervisor regarding patient care plans.
- Provide recommendations for referrals to other healthcare professionals.
- Implement clinical guidelines to prioritize workflow effectively.
- Exhibit proficient technical skills in patient care delivery.
- Follow established protocols for infection control and patient safety.
- Deliver patient care with consideration for age-specific needs.
- Support patient and family education initiatives.
- Administer medications in accordance with unit policies.
- Accurately document physician orders.
- Utilize relevant computer skills effectively in the care environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility and initiative in task assignments.
- Collaborate as a team member to fulfill assigned duties.
- Current Practical Nurse license in the State of New York.
- Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Competitive pay range of $22.85 - $32.30 per hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
